My dear ones, i will always remain in awe of the fact that you came into this world through me. but although i carried you in my womb for 9 months, you are not mine to keep.
we have come to the point in your life where i have to set you free. in reality, you have always been free. but now you go to embark on your own journey of life. before you eagerly try out your new wings, do place these words in a safe place in your heart:
trust in yourself. you are a wonderful, brilliant soul, and i'm not just saying that because i am your mother. have faith in your abilities, you are capable of achieving anything you set your mind to.
live in the moment. happiness does not lie in the memory of a past, or in expectation of the future. happiness depends on who and what you are being, moment by moment.
seek the truth. it's not just some over-used cliche, the truth really WILL set you free. be true to others, and true to yourself.
choose your own path. do not live your life according to other people's standards, or even worse, by default. choose what you want to have in your life.
the sun always shines after the storm. nobody said things are going to be easy. but the sun will eventually shine no matter what hardships you face. and who knows, there may even be a shining rainbow to go along with the sunshine.
always reach for the stars. they are not that far away and they await your touch. dare to go after your dreams.
cherish your kindred spirits. in the course of your life, you may stumble across the most extraordinary friendships. nurture them well.
let laughter reside in your heart. keep a sunny outlook, savor the small pleasures of life. learn to relax and play a little.
love is all there is. that is why we are here. our purpose is to love. start with yourself, then reach out to others. let your love flow freely. at the crucial juncture, there is only one question: what would love do now?
there are so many lessons i have learned from my years on this earth. and although i do wish to share them all with you, i know that you have to make your own choices. remember that i will always be here for you if you need me.

I have given it a thought. I sign my blogs as Captive Orca, and for me the name will say alot. I am no captive. No one can own me or dictate what I should do. I was created by the Great Spirit, my Abba, for a mission. And as I take this mission I also acknowledge my freedom. No longer am I Captive Orca. I still Walk the ways of the Orca but I embrace the energy of the DreamCatcher.
